My Story
From a young age I knew my life purpose was to be a healer, but the path ahead was one that included mental, emotional, and physical obstacles - many of which almost broke me. Due to unresolved trauma in my childhood and adolescence, I was diagnosed with clinical depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and insomnia. As a result, I was conventionally prescribed pharmaceutical drugs to treat the symptoms. Although I was still able to excel in school and achieve several accolades including an athletic scholarship to the University of California, Irvine, my college experience was primarily characterized by major physical injuries, as well as a rapid deterioration of my overall health and well-being. Luckily, I successfully graduated as a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics in 2014 but this major did not reflect nor fulfill my passion of helping people heal.
In hopes of finding purpose and truly healing my mind and body, I traveled the world shortly after graduation. Throughout the years of exploration across 30 different countries, I learned about a variety of healing modalities from different cultures and adopted a daily practice of yoga, mindfulness meditation, and the medicinal use of food and herbs. I also began receiving acupuncture, cupping, and massage treatments routinely to manage the pain from my physical injuries. These practices gave me an experiential understanding of the energy system. I learned how to psychosomatically identify imbalances in the body and was able to experience life peacefully, without the physical pain or mental disruption I was so accustomed to previously. The world of Eastern Medicine initiated a profound change within my state of Being; a complete transformation from suffering and detachment to fulfillment and purpose. As I healed myself, I fully realized my passion for the healing arts and committed to furthering my education in this field.
In 2016 I lived in India, where I deepened my practice and knowledge of yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda. Shortly after returning home to the United States, I began teaching yoga and meditation at an elite athlete training center and at my local wellness center in Huntington Beach, California. I completed my Reiki certification in 2018 and began integrating that practice into my programs and classes. My education continued at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where I learned to build a business as a certified health coach. After graduating in 2019, I became fascinated with Quantum healing and how the subconscious mind creates our reality. I found an incredible doctor of homeopathic medicine and completed her certification program in Quantum Healing in 2020. The integration of everything I have learned organically developed into my holistic healing business, Lokahi Collective (www.lokahicollective.com), namely my 10-week transformational life-coaching program called the Lokahi Method (www.lokahimethod.com). This program supports those in need of deep healing as well as those seeking optimization and alignment in mind, body, and spirit. In addition to one-on-one coaching, Lokahi Collective has also designed and implemented several mindfulness programs for health clinics, training centers, and sports teams in Orange County and Los Angeles County.
I live with my partner on a 3-acre, fully sustainable, exotic fruit farm on the Big Island of Hawaii, where we are building the Lokahi Farm-to-Pharmacy holistic healing space. My vision for this center stems from my calling to help those who have "fallen through the cracks of the medical system" by providing comprehensive, holistic healthcare in an optimal healing environment – integrating the power of alternative medicine with the feel of a transformative self-care retreat. The Lokahi Farm-to-Pharmacy will open to those visiting Hawaii as well as our on-island community and will contribute to the revolution of a new healthcare system based on true wellness and sustainability. My partner and I are also planting a bio-diverse cacao orchard and mango orchard, where we will facilitate events and gatherings for the community. Together, we are co-creating spaces that serve the highest good of all.
Overall, my purpose is to teach people how to experience greater connection and fulfillment in life in a way that truly delights the mind, body, and spirit. This involves the reprogramming of one’s routine cognitive-behavioral patterns and the ability to expand one’s perspective of what is possible. I am excited and honored to share this with you and look forward to our journey together.
